Miguel Saponara, Jr. is a certified trainer as well as a University of Maryland grad. His undergraduate studies consist of Kinesiological Sciences in which he earned his bachelors degree. He is further enhancing his education by pursuing a masters degree in Public Health Administration from the University of Maryland as well. He plans to complete his masters degree by the end of the fall semester 2003.

He is currently employed with the United States Department of Agriculture with their health unit. Once he graduates he plans on making a career change either to the National Institutes of Health or the Health and Human Services division of NIH.

His experience in training includes a certification through ACE and his background through his education in Kinesiological Sciences, as well as the number of years in which he worked for Holy Cross Hospital in the rehab department. His main area of concentration was the elderly folks/patients. He has also trained numerous clients through in home training for specific or general training depending on their needs and goals for their training. He enjoys working with people. He hopes to be involved or implement an exercise program within the government as a part of a Public Health Administrator to enhance employee morale, which includes a positive overall outlook, increased energy and productivity, as well as include all the health benefits of an exercise program.
